2-Ingredient Trick to Clean and Shine Burnt Pans on the Outside
Burnt residue and discoloration on the outside of pans can be a challenge to remove, but with just two simple ingredients, you can make your pans look almost brand new. This method is easy, cost-effective, and doesn’t involve harsh chemicals.
Ingredients:
Baking Soda: A natural abrasive that removes tough stains and grease without scratching.
White Vinegar: An acidic powerhouse that dissolves grime and breaks down burnt residue.
Steps:
1. Sprinkle Baking Soda:
Generously sprinkle baking soda over the burnt areas of the pan’s exterior.
2. Add Vinegar:
Pour white vinegar slowly over the baking soda. It will fizz as it reacts, loosening burnt-on residue.
3. Let it Sit:
Allow the mixture to sit on the pan for 15–20 minutes to break down tough stains.
4. Scrub Gently:
Use a scrub sponge or steel wool (for heavy-duty pans) to scrub the surface in circular motions.
For stubborn spots, add a little more baking soda and continue scrubbing.
5. Rinse and Dry:
Rinse the pan thoroughly with warm water to remove any residue.
Wipe the pan dry with a soft cloth or towel to prevent water spots.
