Ingredients

For the Pizza Dough (Easy & Foolproof!):

  • 2 ¼ teaspoons (1 packet) active dry yeast
  • ¾ cup warm water (110°F / 45°C)
  • 1 teaspoon maple syrup or sugar
  • 2 cups all-purpose or whole wheat flour
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

For the Tomato Sauce:

  • 1 can (14 oz) crushed tomatoes
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon maple syrup (balances acidity)

For the Vegan Cheese (Melty & Delicious!):

  • ½ cup raw cashews, soaked for 15 minutes
  • 1 cup unsweetened plant milk
  • 3 tablespoons nutritional yeast
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon tapioca starch (for stretchiness)

For the Toppings:

  • ½ cup mushrooms, sliced
  • ½ cup bell peppers, diced
  • ½ cup cherry tomatoes, halved
  • ¼ cup black olives, sliced
  • 1 cup fresh spinach or arugula
  • ½ teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional, for spice)
