Minor accidents can happen anywhere, every day. Sometimes due to poor maintenance, manufacturing defects, or being rushed. One of the most common accidents is when keys break and get stuck in the lock.
The worst part about this problem is that if it happens to your house keys, the solution can’t be delayed. Before calling a locksmith, you can try these tips to remove a broken key from the lock without having to disassemble everything.
First tip:
All you need is a very strong magnet. If the key is stuck in the upright position, it will be very easy to remove it.
Apply some lubricant, then take the magnet and place it on the key to allow it to work. The key should stick to the magnet and come off easily.
