A recipe as easy as pie

For two glasses of this beneficial potion, you need:
- 5 to 6 fresh okra
- 4 to 5 cloves
- 1 tsp amla powder ( or 2 thin slices of fresh amla if available )
- 1 tbsp chia seeds
- The juice of half a lemon
- 1 tsp honey ( or agave syrup for a vegan version )
- ½ tsp grated fresh ginger
- 300 ml of water at room temperature
Steps to follow:
The night before, place the okra, cloves, and amla in a jar. Add the water, seal tightly , and let it steep in the refrigerator for 8 hours. The next morning, strain, add the chia seeds, and let it sit for 10 minutes. Then add the lemon, honey, and ginger. Mix well and serve! You can keep the second portion in the refrigerator overnight .
When to drink it?
The ideal? On an empty stomach, in the morning, for better nutrient absorption. A second small dose in the afternoon can also be beneficial, especially for its refreshing and antioxidant-rich properties . And as with everything related to the skin, consistency is king: the first effects are often noticed after three to four weeks.
