For the Sweet and Sour Sauce:

  • ½ cup ketchup
  • ⅓ cup rice vinegar (or apple cider vinegar)
  • ⅓ cup honey (or brown sugar)
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon ginger powder
  • ½ teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional, for a spicy kick)
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch mixed with 2 tablespoons water (to thicken the sauce)
