Having become a symbol of a certain slender figure, it’s often perceived as a sign of ultimate thinness. As a result, some content promises to « achieve » this famous gap with exercises or diets…  A message largely disconnected from reality.

The truth is, thigh gap is all about your skeleton. Yes, your bone structure plays a key role: pelvic width, femur orientation, muscle positioning… all of these factors you can’t control or change with a few squats. British expert Dr. Ross Perry confirms: this famous gap is often simply a matter of bone structure—  nothing more .

Not a question of weight, nor of discipline

You could be very thin… and never see that gap appear. And that’s perfectly normal! There’s nothing « missing » about it. It’s even likely that some of the images you admire have been retouched. So the quest for that gap can become an  unnecessary source of pressure , especially if you mistakenly believe that achieving it is just a matter of willpower.  It’s not a physical feat. It’s a myth.
