Finding a 4-leaf clover: what does it mean?

The history of the four-leaf clover goes back a long way. According to an ancient Christian legend,  Eve took a clover with her from the Garden of Eden as a reminder of the perfect life she had just left behind. This botanical detail then becomes a symbol of nostalgia and lost hope.

But the clover doesn’t stop there. In Celtic tradition  , it was said to have a protective role  against evil spirits . The Druids even believed that it allowed one to  see demons and invisible forces  around oneself. Not very reassuring… but fascinating, right?

What do the four leaves really mean?

You thought it was just a matter of luck? Think again. Each leaf is said to have a  particular symbolic value , according to several traditions:

  • The  first  represents  faith ,
  • The  second ,  hope ,
  • The  third ,  love ,
  • And the  fourth , of course…  luck  !

Another, more modern version evokes  fame ,  wealth , love and  health  . Pillars which, let’s face it, form a nice life program.

What if luck was believing in it?
