Homemade Brioche Bread – Buttery, Soft & Rich

  • 4 cups (500g) all-purpose flour (or bread flour)
  • ¼ cup (50g) granulated sugar
  • 1 packet (2 ¼ tsp) instant yeast or active dry yeast
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 4 large eggs, room temperature
  • ½ cup (120ml) whole milk, warmed (110°F / 43°C)
  • ½ cup (115g) unsalted butter, softened and cubed

For the Egg Wash:

  • 1 egg yolk
  • 1 tablespoon milk
