
How to Make Basic Soup
1. In a large pot, heat olive oil over medium heat.
2. Add onion, carrots, and celery. Cook until soft, about 5 minutes.
3. Add garlic and cook for 1 more minute.
4. Pour in broth, bring to a boil, then add other vegetables or protein.
5. Reduce heat and simmer for 15–20 minutes.
6. Season with salt and pepper. Serve warm with fresh herbs.
