We’ve all been there: a phone lying around in a bag or pocket with your keys, and then, boom, scratches appear. Not big enough to require a screen replacement, but noticeable enough to make them the focus of attention. What if the solution cost next to nothing? Here’s a simple, effective, and 100% homemade trick to give your smartphone screen a new lease of life.
Why toothpaste for your phone?

It may seem surprising, but toothpaste has a property that interests us here: it polishes. This is what it does to our teeth. And this ability to smooth surfaces can also reduce, or even erase, small superficial scratches on your phone screen.
Be careful though: this method only works on micro-scratches. If your screen is cracked, broken, or has deep damage, only a professional can repair it. But for minor everyday snags, the results can be truly satisfying .
What you need (and probably already have)

Before you begin, prepare:
- A tube of basic white toothpaste (neither gel nor with microbeads),
- One or two cotton swabs,
- A soft, slightly damp cloth,
- And of course, your phone!
