Instant Pot Spaghetti and Meat Sauce


How To Make Instant Pot Spaghetti and Meat Sauce:

  1. Sauté Meat & Onions: Add the olive oil to the bottom of your Instant Pot and turn on the sauté function. Add the chopped onion and cook until softened. Stir in the ground beefgarlic powder, minced garlic, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Sauté until the meat is browned and cooked through. Drain any excess fat, then remove the meat mixture from the Instant Pot and set it aside.
  2. Layer the Ingredients: Turn off the sauté function. Pour half of the water into the bottom of the Instant Pot. Break the spaghetti pasta in half and layer it in an “x” pattern on the bottom of the pot.
  3. Add Sauce & Cook: Cover the spaghetti noodles completely with the pasta sauce, diced tomatoes, and the remaining water. Use a spoon to make sure the noodles are fully submerged in the liquid.
  4. Pressure Cook: Secure the lid on the Instant Pot and set the valve to the “sealing” position. Cook on manual high pressure for 5 minutes.
  5. Release Pressure: Once the cooking is complete, allow a natural pressure release for 5 minutesThen, carefully move the valve to the “venting” position to release the remaining pressure.
  6. Combine & Serve: Open the lid and return the cooked meat mixture to the Instant Pot. Stir everything together to combine well before serving.
