  • ¼ cup (50g) granulated sugar
  • 1 ½ teaspoons baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon cinnamon (optional)
  • ¾ cup (180ml) milk
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Oil for frying (if deep-frying)

For the Coating:

  • ½ cup granulated sugar + 1 teaspoon cinnamon (for cinnamon sugar coating)
  • 1 cup powdered sugar + 2 tablespoons milk (for glaze)
  • Melted chocolate for dipping (optional)
