Reasons why you might experience numbness or tingling in your hands

Some diseases, such as rheumatoid arthritis or  Guillain-Barré syndrome,  affect the nervous system. They can cause numbness and also a loss of strength.

Watch for  : gradual onset of bilateral symptoms or unusual muscle weakness.

Poor circulation: beware of the cold or atherosclerosis

Raynaud’s phenomenon causes a temporary narrowing of blood vessels, resulting in  cold, pale, or bluish hands , often accompanied by tingling. Other circulatory disorders such as atherosclerosis can also limit blood flow to the extremities.

Solution  : protect yourself from the cold, practice suitable physical activity and have your cardiovascular assessments checked.
