Steak and Cheese Grilled Sandwich Recipe

Season the Steak: Sprinkle the steak slices with salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
Cook the Steak: Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Sear the steak slices for 2-3 minutes per side, or until they are cooked to your desired doneness. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
2. Prepare the Sandwich:
Butter the Bread: Spread a thin layer of softened butter on one side of each bread slice.
Assemble the Sandwich:
Place a slice of cheese on the unbuttered side of two bread slices.
Add the cooked steak on top of the cheese.
Optionally, layer caramelized onions and sautéed mushrooms over the steak.
Top with another slice of cheese and close the sandwich with the remaining bread slices, buttered side facing out.

Heat a Skillet or Panini Press: Preheat a skillet or panini press over medium heat.
Grill the Sandwich: Place the sandwiches in the skillet or press. Cook for 3-4 minutes on each side, pressing gently, until the bread is golden brown and crisp, and the cheese is fully melted.
