Heat a large skillet or grill pan over medium heat. Add olive oil and let it warm up.
Place the chicken in the pan and sear on each side for 2–3 minutes to create a golden crust.
Reduce the heat to low, add chicken broth or water to the pan, and cover it with a lid. Cook for 10–12 minutes or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C).
Addressing the White Residue
During cooking, the white goo may appear. This is simply protein and moisture being released from the chicken due to heat.
To minimize its appearance, avoid overcrowding the pan and cook on moderate heat to reduce moisture release.
Rest and Serve
Once cooked, let the chicken rest for 5 minutes before slicing to retain its juices.
