1. Prepare Your Workspace:
Clean your work area and gather all the ingredients and tools.
Ensure your silicone soap molds are clean and dry.
2. Melt the Soap Base:
Cut the soap base into small cubes for even melting.
Place the cubes in a microwave-safe bowl or a double boiler.
Heat in 20-30 second intervals, stirring after each interval, until the soap is fully melted.
3. Add Lemon Elements:
Stir in the lemon zest and dried lemon peel (if using) to the melted soap base.
Add the lemon essential oil and mix thoroughly. If desired, add a few drops of yellow soap colorant and stir until evenly combined.
4. Pour the Soap into Molds:
Carefully pour the mixture into the silicone molds, filling each one evenly.
Lightly tap the molds on the counter to remove air bubbles.
5. Let the Soap Set:
Allow the soap to cool and harden completely. This may take 2-4 hours at room temperature or 1-2 hours in the refrigerator.
6. Remove and Store:
Gently pop the soaps out of the molds.
Store in an airtight container or wrap individually in parchment paper.
