1 medium-sized lemon
1-inch piece of fresh ginger root
2-3 tablespoons of raw honey
1 cup (240ml) hot water (not boiling, to preserve honey’s nutrients)
Preparation:
1. Prep the Ingredients:
Wash the lemon thoroughly and slice it into thin rounds.
Peel the ginger and slice it into thin pieces or grate it for a stronger flavor.
2. Assemble the Mixture:
In a heatproof jar or mug, layer the lemon slices and ginger pieces.
Pour in the raw honey, ensuring it covers the lemon and ginger.
3. Add Hot Water:
Pour hot (not boiling) water over the mixture to release the flavors and dissolve the honey.
Stir gently to combine.
4. Steep and Serve:
Let the mixture steep for 5-10 minutes.
Strain (if desired) and sip while warm.
