- 1 tablespoon coconut oil (preferably organic and unrefined)
- 1 tablespoon baking soda
- A few drops of water (to adjust consistency)
Instructions:
-
Mix the Ingredients:
- In a small bowl, combine 1 tablespoon of coconut oil with 1 tablespoon of baking soda. Stir until the two ingredients form a thick paste.
- If the mixture is too thick, add a few drops of water to reach a smooth, spreadable consistency.
-
Apply the Scrub:
- Gently massage the mixture onto your dampened face using small, circular motions. Focus on areas that tend to get dry or congested, like your T-zone or around your cheeks.
- Be gentle around the delicate skin around your eyes.
-
Exfoliate and Cleanse:
- Continue massaging for 1-2 minutes, allowing the baking soda to exfoliate your skin and the coconut oil to deeply moisturize.
- If you’re using it as a facial mask, leave it on your skin for an additional 5-10 minutes before rinsing.
-
Rinse and Moisturize:
- After exfoliating and allowing the mask to sit, rinse your face with lukewarm water. Pat your skin dry with a clean towel.
- Follow up with your favorite moisturizer or simply let the coconut oil’s natural moisturizing effects keep your skin soft and hydrated.
