- 1 block firm tofu, drained and pressed
- 2 tbsp cornstarch (for crispiness)
- 2 tbsp olive oil (for frying)
- Salt and pepper, to taste
For the Orange Sauce:
- 1/2 cup fresh orange juice (about 2-3 oranges)
- Zest of 1 orange
- 2 tbsp soy sauce or tamari (for gluten-free)
- 2 tbsp maple syrup or agave syrup
- 1 tbsp rice vinegar (or apple cider vinegar)
- 1 garlic clove, minced
- 1 tsp grated ginger (optional for extra flavor)
- 1/2 tsp sesame oil (for depth of flavor)
- 1 tbsp cornstarch mixed with 2 tbsp water (to thicken the sauce)
