2-Ingredient Vegan Chocolate Mousse
This simple yet indulgent chocolate mousse requires just two ingredients and is a perfect dessert for any occasion. It’s rich, creamy, and incredibly easy to make!
Ingredients:
Vegan Dark Chocolate – 200 g (7 oz), finely chopped
Aquafaba – 1 cup (240 ml) (the liquid from a can of chickpeas)
Directions:
1. Melt the Chocolate:
Place the chopped dark chocolate in a heatproof bowl.
Melt the chocolate using a double boiler or microwave in 20-second intervals, stirring in between to ensure it doesn’t burn.
Let the melted chocolate cool slightly while preparing the aquafaba.
2. Whip the Aquafaba:
Pour the aquafaba into a large mixing bowl.
Use an electric mixer to whip the aquafaba on high speed until stiff peaks form. This usually takes about 5–7 minutes. It should resemble whipped egg whites.
3. Fold in the Chocolate:
Gently fold the melted chocolate into the whipped aquafaba. Add the chocolate gradually and mix carefully to maintain the airy texture.
Continue folding until the chocolate is fully incorporated and the mixture is smooth.
