Copycat Filet-O-Fish Recipe – Crispy, Flaky & Irresistible!

2 white fish fillets (cod, pollock, or haddock)
½ teaspoon salt
¼ teaspoon black pepper
½ teaspoon garlic powder
½ teaspoon paprika
½ cup (60g) all-purpose flour
1 large egg, beaten
½ cup (60g) panko breadcrumbs (for extra crispiness)
½ cup (60g) crushed Ritz crackers or cornflakes (for added crunch, optional)
Vegetable oil (for frying)

For the Tartar Sauce:

½ cup (120g) mayonnaise
2 tablespoons dill pickles, finely chopped
1 teaspoon pickle juice (or lemon juice)
1 teaspoon capers, chopped (optional, for extra tang)
½ teaspoon sugar
½ teaspoon Dijon mustard
