From age 65, how often should you shower (and why over-washing can be harmful to your health)

Less is more!

Experts agree: for mature skin, it’s best to limit yourself to 2 or 3 showers per week. This is more than enough to stay clean while preserving the skin’s natural moisture. The rest of the time? We adopt the  cat’s way of grooming  : a damp glove, a little mild soap, and we clean strategic areas (armpits, private parts, feet, etc.).

This method, already used in the medical field, is a real ally for fragile skin. It allows you to maintain good hygiene without damaging the epidermis, a bit like we prefer  to maintain a car regularly rather than pressure wash it every day .
