1 cup unsalted butter, softened
3 cups powdered sugar
1/2 cup cocoa powder
1/3 cup heavy cream (or milk)
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
For the Ganache Topping:
1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
1/2 cup heavy cream
Instructions
1. Prepare the Cake Layers
Preheat the Oven:
Heat to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour two 8-inch round cake pans, or line with parchment paper.
Mix Dry Ingredients:
