- 1 tsp sugar (balances acidity)

- 1 tsp dried basil
- ½ tsp red pepper flakes (optional, for a slight kick)
- Salt & black pepper to taste
- ½ cup water or beef broth (for depth of flavor)
- ¼ cup fresh parsley (chopped, for garnish)
For the Spaghetti:
- 1 lb spaghetti pasta
- Water (for boiling)
