The veterans discount is probably not new news to most of you. There are a lot of businesses that provide discounts and special deals to veterans and service members. Being a member of the military forces and serving your nation comes with certain benefits.
Even if it’s not much, these sales are a nice way to say thanks. A custom that is often linked with certain companies.
Also, not long ago, an Ohio KFC location decided to join in. There were a lot of responses on the internet when the business put up the sign.
Guests dressed in uniform were often given complimentary meals by the business, regardless of the time of day or date. The first plan was to reward the local police by giving them a discount on chicken. In the end, this new regulation was going to get more internet attention.
This picture went viral when it was uploaded on the Ohio Going Blue Facebook page.
Even though it had over 10,000 likes and 6,000 shares, there were still a lot of different opinions.
Some commenters questioned if the offer to the police was really required. Additional comments suggested that the cop would rather not get preferential treatment and would even be willing to foot the bill. Opinions expressed by Facebook administrators:
