Vegan Falafel Recipe
Crispy on the outside, fluffy on the inside, and packed with aromatic spices, these vegan falafels are a classic Middle Eastern dish. Perfect for wraps, salads, or as a snack, they’re easy to make and incredibly satisfying.
Ingredients:
For the Falafel Mixture:
1 cup (200 g) dried chickpeas (soaked overnight)
(Do not use canned chickpeas; they’re too soft.)
1 small onion, roughly chopped
3 cloves garlic, minced
1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
1/4 cup fresh cilantro, chopped
1 teaspoon ground cumin
1 teaspoon ground coriander
1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional, for heat)
1 teaspoon baking powder
2–3 tablespoons all-purpose flour or chickpea flour
Salt and black pepper to taste
For Cooking:
Vegetable oil for frying (or baking/air-frying option)
Optional Garnishes:
Pita bread or wraps
Fresh veggies (tomatoes, cucumbers, lettuce, etc.)
Vegan tzatziki, hummus, or tahini sauce
